Our story began in 1970 when Su Young Park, a graduate of Seoul National University in Agriculture, came to Canada as a immigrant from South Korea, with a vision to farm Korean produce in Canada.
He started farming Napa Cabbage and Korean Radish, vegetables that are commonly used in Korean culture for making Kimchi, a dish with endless health benefits.
Su Young Park became a pioneer of oriental farming in Canada and his passion for Korean vegetables has been carried on through the generations.
In 1998, Hanns Farms Limited was incorporated by Sean Han and Won Han, Sean’s brother.
In 2015, Sean Han took over operations and his son, Jerome Han, is now part of the second generation looking to provide innovative farming practices while maintaining the same values and vision that have been taught to them by their family.
